The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is an international learned society for computing. It was founded in 1947, and is the world's largest scientific and educational computing society.The ACM is a non-profit professional membership group.ACM brings together computing educators, researchers, and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources, and address the field's challenges. ACM Special Interest Groups

ACM’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs) represent the major areas of the dynamic computing field. ACM’s SIGs are invested in advancing the skills of their members, keeping them abreast of emerging trends. ACM India Council

The ACM India Council is an effort of ACM, the world's largest educational and scientific computing society, aimed at increasing the level and visibility of ACM activities across India. The ACM India Council activities, involving both academia and industry in computing, include research, organization of high-quality computing conferences, advancing Computer Science education, and awards to recognize achievement.
